Excavations by Proyecto Arqueologico Colonial (PAC) in Group A targeted the group’s civic-ceremonial architecture. The purpose was to reveal the group’s construction chronology and activity areas within buildings. PAC excavated two open halls (Strs. 606 and 615), the main temple (Str. 602), two oratorios (Strs. 605 and 614), a raised shrine (Str. 601), a ceremonial walkway/sakbe (Str. 603), and portions of the plaza.
