Overview

Zacpeten’s defensive system stands on the northern edge of the site separating the peninsula from the mainland. It includes a platform wall, a ditch with two parapets, a glacis, and a canal. A short sakbe (road) bordered by parapets leads from Group B northeast towards the lake shore.
