Itza Archchaeology lectures at local museum!!
On July, 9, 2024, Dr. Yuko Shiratori and Dr. Carolyn Freiwald held a conference at Museo Regional Mundo, Maya, in San Miguel, Flores, Petén. This conference was held for local elementary school students to teach them how the people of Petén interacted with and utilized animals, from the beginning of the Colonial Period (1697 – 1821 AD) to today.
